Founded in 1954 by Don Denman, we began with a focus on hospital accounting. Under Don’s leadership, the firm quickly expanded to serve physicians and medical practices. A merger in 1957 introduced the name Denman & Dutton, which remained until 1965, after which the firm grew further through additional partnerships and was renamed as Denman & Company.

The 1980s marked a significant expansion for Denman, as we broadened our expertise to encompass a wide array of industries, including construction, real estate, banking, transportation, and privately owned businesses of all sizes and industries. Following this growth, we further strengthened our position by acquiring several other firms and practitioners, which helped us expand our reach and capabilities.

Today, Denman is recognized for its collaborative, team-oriented approach, serving clients across Iowa and throughout the United States. We take pride in our long-term client relationships, with some spanning over 50 years. As one of the largest CPA firms in Iowa, we offer a full suite of services, working as a strategic partner to help clients achieve both their short- and long-term business goals.
